HEALTH & BENEFITS CONSULTING ANALYST INTERNSHIP

Description:

including benefits design and delivery; benchmarking and data analysis;

programs that fit their business goals while improving their employees'

The first step in your career with Mercer Health & Benefits is as an Analyst
Intern

Analysts work closely with experienced consultants to gather data and conduct
research for client plans and special projects.  Depending on the practice
that you are assigned to, the specific job duties will vary, but may include:

* collecting, analyzing, and interpreting health care data for our clients
* developing awareness of health care plan design, cost factors and the
  renewal process
* analyzing claims, estimating future plan costs and developing pricing models
* assisting consultants in financial reviews of renewals, marketing plans,
  and valuations of cost estimates for client proposals
* calculating employee contributions to meet employer cost objectives
* assisting in the design, financing, pricing and administration of health
  and welfare programs
* assisting with preparation of client and prospect sale presentations

Qualified candidates for a Health & Benefits Analyst position will have:
* Progress towards a Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, economics,
  business, finance or liberal arts
* Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
* Superior analytical, mathematical skills REQUIRED!!!!!!!!
* Strong command of MS office, Excel and similar programs
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Highly self-directed, possessing natural leadership qualities
* Ability to work independently or in a team environment with rapidly
  changing priorities and demands
