Alliance Data to host a Career Fair Strategies workshop on Wednesday,
April 1st at 3:00 pm in 090 Science Library Building.  Get Ready for
the Career Fair April 7th.

In this session, learn valuable tips and practical techniques for
maximizing your attendance at upcoming career fairs.  Ms. Tanya Allen
of Alliance Data is an experienced college recruiter and attends career
fairs nationally.   Topics such as pre-event preparation, personal
appearance and presence, marketing your skills and asking the right
questions effectively will be discussed.  This will not be a passive
session -- be prepared to actively participate!  Plan to attend and get
your questions answered.

Monday, April 13th - PHYSICS in Industry the ATOMIC FORCE -
110 Page Hall, 5:00 - 6:30 pm

How one can make the transition to industry with a degree in physics?
What about the powerful influence the science of physics has in the
global economy, in research and development and drug delivery.  A
seasoned principal research scientist from Battelle Memorial Institute
will share his story and career history in industry as a physics
scientist.


Tuesday, April 14th - IN's of Interships at NASA -
724 Math Tower, 5:00 - 6:30 pm

Come learn about the internships offered at NASA Glenn Research Center,
these government-supported student job and internship programs provide
students with clearly defined learning goals as part of a closely
monitored work experience. Internships for students pursuing degrees in
engineering, science and math, from high school to PhD levels.  Come
hear about the many hands-on collaborative research projects with
engineers, scientist and visiting summer faculty working in the STEM
fields in space related industry.   

 
Wednesday, April 15th - Converting Science into Products -
291 Mendenhall, 5:00 - 6:30 pm

Recruitment in the biosciences and biotechnology fields are thriving.
The study of life, from molecules to populations - includes nutrition,
biology, botany, zoology, genetics, polymers, microbiology and molecular
biology and more is expanding in many ways.  Here is your chance to
connect with experts from industry, come ask your questions about how
interns and professionals join this industry. Representatives from
Battelle, PolymerOhio and BioOhio will be on the panel.

 
Thursday, April 16th - Connected Beyond Beakers & Flasks -
2015 McPherson Labs, 5:00 - 6:30 pm

A panel of employers from PPG Industries, ISP Columbus, Ashland Chemical,
GFS Chemicals and Capital Resin will provide insight into the hiring
process, on-the-job expectations, and what qualities an employer is
looking for in new hires. For students with interest in science,
pharmacy, math and CIS, this session will be interactive with the
participants asking questions of the panel.
