A significant typo has been corrected in question 6. Rather than the derivative switching from negative to positive at 0, it should switch from negative to positive at -2. This is reflected in the version of the midterm now downloadable from this webpage.
A minor typo on the midterm - In problem 2, "constant function f(x)=x" should read "identity function f(x)=x".

The Second Midterm is now available. Hand it in during class on Tuesday, May 24th.

Your TA will be holding office hours from 11-1 on Tuesday (meet him in the Auditorium Annex room 144.
The second webwork assignment is now posted. I have reactivated yesterday's assignment so that those of you who still wish to complete it can.
Read section 3.6 for Friday, May 20th.
There will be a take home midterm to hand in during class on Tuesday, May 24th.
The link for Webwork   assignments is now up, under the heading Information. Click on the link, scroll down to the correct class and section (922) and click. You'll log in with your CWL, and should then be able to complete the homework set. If you recieve an error, send me an email.
Read Paul Lockheart's essay A Mathematician's Lament and write a short reflection on it to hand in tomorrow, Wednesday May 18th.
Read sections 3.1 and 3.2 and be able to do the review questions at the end of each section for Wednesday, May 18th.
