You should read sections of the book before they are studied in class.
CALCULATORS: A graphing calculator is a required component of this course. Texas Instruments TI-83 (or TI-84) would be the best choice.
Homework: There will be homework dayly assigned.
Tests and quizzes: Every Friday will be a test or a quiz. On quiz you may use any material in you own handwriting, including class notes and assignment solutions. There will be two midterms and one final exams. You may use your calculator. You may not use your text, notes, or solutions to assignments. Except for extraordinary reasons, you must take the examinations at the scheduled times.
