General Directions

The 26th Ohio State-Denison Math Conference will be held at Denison University, Granville, Ohio.
Denison University is located at about 30 miles from the city of Columbus, Ohio, which also has the closest airport to the university. The conference will start on Friday, May 17 at 1:30 P.M. and continue till Sunday, May 19.

Banquet Information

The banquet will held on Saturday, May 18, at Bombay Grille, 6665 Dublin Center Drive. It is VERY IMPORTANT that all participants let the respective organizers know whether they will be participating in the banquet or not by MAY 8, 2001 (their e-mails: Surinder Sehgal - sehgal@math.ohio-state.edu - for Session on Group Theory; S.K. Jain - jain@math.ohiou.edu - and S. Tariq Rizvi - rizvi@math.ohio-state.edu - for the Session on Theory of Rings and Modules). This can be also done by filling out the Registration Form on this web site which we encourage the participants to do. The information is needed for actual count to be given to the Banquet Restaurant. Later inclusions will not be possible.

The cost of the Banquet will be $22 per person. This includes the following menu.

(A CASH BAR will be available from 6.00 P.M. until 7.00 P.M.; and a BUFFET DINNER, from 7.00 P.M.)

13. Gulab Jaman (Dessert)
14. Rice pudding (Dessert)


Please inform us on the registration form (the field is mandatory) if you will be attending the banquet (again, deadline is May 8) - you need not send the money now. Kindly pay the money when you register at Denison University on Friday.

Hotel Information

Participants in the conference will need to make their own hotel reservations. The base hotel for the conference will be Comfort Inn North (1213 E Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus,614-885-4084). Below, is the information about some hotels/motels in North Columbus (I-71, and Route 161) area with their rates. There are two hotels in Granville which have only a limited number of rooms available. We encourage participants to make the reservations as soon as possible. There will be some limited transportation available for participants who need to go to Denison University from the East Columbus hotels/motels listed below. We request those participants who will have their own car to help us with some rides. Thanks.
