The pedit family of text editors, a replacement for Palm's
built-in "Memos" [aka "Memo Pad"]
pedit, pedit32, and peditPro pack a myriad
features which makes them perfect tools for anyone using the palm for
serious text editing. Even casual writers will appreciate pedits'
simple but rich and efficient interface.
peditPro is the flagship of the pedit family of editors,
combining pedit and pedit32 into one single Dynamic Input Area [DIA]
compatible application. It also has additional features such as
encryption which are not supported by either pedit or pedit32.
pedit32 is identical to pedit except that it breaks the
infamous 4K barrier on all Palm Powered handhelds and extends the
maximum size of a simple memo to 32K.
Note. Please read the
pedit vs pedit32 comparison before you decide to install pedit32.
Note. I recommend that you use peditPro. To be honest, I
see no reason for using pedit or pedit32 since peditPro is so much
superior to them. I keep pedit and pedit32 for historical reasons.
Occasionally, a few users with esoteric setups might benefit from
them. If you register pedit or pedit32 and later you wish you had
peditPro, ask me for advice on upgrading to the latter.
Note. All these pedits import and export DOC files, so
that your palm's available RAM is the only factor which limits the
size of your memos.
peditLight has all the essential editing functions of
pedit, and it requires approximately 200 Kb less RAM.
peditCombo consists of pedit and pedit32 in one
package.
Note. What's the point of peditCombo? I have no idea. I
created peditCombo only because a few users requested it. If you
register peditCombo and later you change your mind, ask me for a
complimentary peditPro.
Use peditUpgrade to upgrade any registered pedit to
peditPro version 8.xx.
peditFixer will
solve almost all reported problems.
Almost all the remaining problems reported by users is that they
try to enter their password into the wrong version of pedit. Please
keep in mind that there are several members of the pedit family, and
that they all require different passwords.
pToolSet
is a Dynamic Input Area [DIA] compatible collection of tools for
all Palm Powered handhelds which are at your disposal without
quitting your current application. It is the OS 3.5+ equivalent of
HackMaster extensions.
Use pToolSetUpgrade to upgrade any registered pToolSet to
version 8.xx.
Use pToolSetPro [aka pToolSetProEnabler] to add
additional features to your pToolSet. pToolSet will tell you if you
need to use pToolSetPro.
pScriptRunner is a collection of 59 applications for your
Palm Powered handheld. Each of these applications runs [triggers,
plays] a
pScript as long as you have pToolSet and/or LapTopHack and,
optionally, a pedit installed.
LapTopHack is a HackMaster extension for all Palm Powered
handhelds which makes your handheld perform like a LapTop computer.
LapTopHack is equally useful with or without an external keyboard.
Use LapTopHackUpgrade to upgrade any registered LapTopHack
to version 8.xx.
NOTE. LapTopHack is not Palm OS 5+ compatible.

dbCleanerUpper is a spring house-cleaning application for
eliminating the footprints of the deleted records which keep
accumulating in your databases. It is recommended if you do not use
DeskTop conduits for your built-in applications of your Palm Powered
handheld.
EventAnalyzerHack is a HackMaster extension for anyone who
is interested in the inner workings of the Palm OS. It is an
indispensable tool for those who need to find out how events are
generated by user interaction. It is especially useful for both
veteran and novice developers.
grepHack is a no-nonsense plain-vanilla cousin of
superFinderHack.
NOTE. grepHack is not Palm OS 5+ compatible.
listNavigatorHack and menuNavigatorHack
are HackMaster extensions for all Palm Powered handhelds which
complement the software drivers of all external keyboards by providing
essential LapTopHack functionality in a package which needs only a
fraction of the memory required by LapTopHack.
NOTE. listNavigatorHack and menuNavigatorHack are not Palm
OS 5+ compatible.
printHack is a HackMaster extension for all Palm Powered
handhelds which allows you to print practically any text
directly from your application, and even from "i-Tips" windows, from
the "FIND" dialog, and so forth. It works in conjunction with
either PalmPrint
or TealPrint.
superFinderHack is a HackMaster extension for all Palm
Powered handhelds which allows you to have a tremendous amount of
flexibility in your "FIND" SilkScreen searches, and it replaces the
standard Palm "Find" dialog and similar third party utilities.
NOTE. superFinderHack is not Palm OS 5+ compatible.
TimeSetter allows you to set your Palm Powered handheld's
internal clock to the exact second.
